Régis Peffault de Latour received his MD degree from the University Paris – Lariboisière in 2003 and his PhD degree in Immunology from the Pasteur Institute in 2006, where he worked on regulatory T cells in graft versus host disease after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. He was trained in hematology at Paris Hospitals and did his post-doctoral fellowship at the Hematology Branch, National Institutes of Health, USA, from 2008 to 2010 on aplastic anemia and paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria.
Prof Peffault de Latour obtained his tenure professorship position in 2014. He is currently the head of the Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant Department, Hôpital Saint-Louis, Paris, France since 2022. He is also responsible of the French reference center on aplastic anemia and PNH as well as of the French organization for rare hematological and immunological disorders. He is also the chair of the Severe Aplastic Anemia Working Party of the European Blood and Marrow Transplantation group. His research interest focuses on bone marrow transplantation, bone marrow failure, and paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria.

Alicia Rovó is an associate Professor of Hematology at the University of Bern. She is the Head of the Hematology Clinical Unit and Deputy Physician-in-Chief of the Department of Hematology and Central Hematology Laboratory at Inselspital, Bern University Hospital in Switzerland, where she is director of the Hematology training program.
Dr Rovó’s main area of interest is benign and malignant hematological pathologies, particularly the diagnosis, management and clinical research of bone marrow failures, myeloid neoplasms and cytopenia, as well as stem cell transplantation. She collaborates internationally, participating in the working parties of the EBMT, CIBMTR, EHA and NIH consortium amongst others. She has an active role in the education of hematologists at national and international level, is part of the SIWF-FMH in Switzerland and is a member of the Curriculum-Exam Committee of EHA.

Phillip Scheinberg graduated in Medicine from the University of Santo Amaro, São Paulo, Brazil in 1995. He then undertook residencies in Internal Medicine at the University of São Paulo (1996–1997) and at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Florida, USA (1997–2000). From 2000 to 2001, he worked as Medical Chief Resident at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Dr Scheinberg undertook his hematology-oncology fellowship and training at the Hematology Branch, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), National Institutes of Health from 2001 to 2006. He then remained on staff at the Hematology Branch of the NHLBI from 2006 to 2011, where he developed several clinical protocols in bone marrow failure syndromes as well as conducted laboratory research in bone marrow failure syndromes, bone marrow transplantation, cellular immunity against viral, tumoral and allogeneic antigens. He is currently Head of the Division of Hematology, Hospital A Beneficência Portuguesa, São Paulo, Brazil.
